The Technical Sales Representative specializes in creating value for customers through effective communication and specialized solutions.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Exploratory phone calls
  • Demonstrating products

  • Other innovative ways to instruct our customer base on our products

To be successful in this position you must be able to provide technical support and have working knowledge of industrial controls and power systems of:

  • Power distribution systems
  • Motor starters
  • Soft Starters
  • Variable frequency drives (VFD’s)
  • Harmonic filtering systems
  • Induction motor operation and maintenance

Salary - $60,000 to $80,000 annually

This position reports directly to Area Branch Manager

 Individual will be held accountable for:

  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements and using the associated details to recommend product solutions to customers.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
  • Work with Inside Sales to develop sales leads and create quotes for both products and services.
  • Work with Engineering to review specifications and drawings for larger, more complicated projects, and use those documents to create a thorough bid package.
  • Full product line presentation, including key advantages of each product to customers and industry professionals.
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
  • Supporting customer service on all active projects.
  • Working closely with Sales Manager in establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers; and in reporting marketing feedback on products, competition, and market conditions.
  • Engaging with members of the sales team and technical experts to find appropriate solutions to complex problems and situations.
  • Recommend appropriate Preventative Maintenance services for electric motors, variable frequency drives and power generation equipment.
  • Grow sales of products and services throughout their territory by working with new and existing customers.
  • Able to discuss the pros and cons of different motor controllers, such as soft starters, ATL starters and variable frequency drives.
  • Able to identify potential service work that may benefit a customer while touring their facilities.
  • Be able to discuss the basic concepts of motor repair and rewind services.
  • Be familiar with three-phase induction motors, and identify the necessary information required to cross-reference motors between manufacturers.
  • Performs routine sales duties with little or no supervision, including planning and executing daily activities i.e. sales calls, lunches, customer entertainment, and factory visits
  • Influences consulting engineers to keep specs current with technology and industry practices to avoid unnecessary job costs and confusion
  • Understand the concept of Living the Law of the Harvest.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization with professionalism

Qualified Candidates Must Possess:

  • Strongly prefer at least three years of experience working in technical applications engineering role.
  • Must be organized, with excellent engineering analytical and problem-solving abilities, and enjoys talking to engineers and end-users.
  • Extensive experience with effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of how products work.
  • Ability to identify, develop and follow up on customer leads
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques
  • Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance

Summary: Is sufficient in repairing numerous AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment and is able to work with a variety of testing tools.

Responsibilities: The following list contains key responsibilities; additional work may be assigned by your manager.

  • Follows relevant work instructions and customer standards.
  • Operates specialized repair and testing equipment.
  • Carries out dynamic balance of rotor and armature assemblies as well as replaces/repairs mechanical parts (e.g. brushes, gears, seals, etc.).
  • Regularly diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Proficient in level 1+ vibration analysis.
  • Procures special parts per material request form.
  • Oversees that all completed work in their designated area meets EMC quality requirements.

Salary Range - $21 - $24 per hour

Full – Time – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hour lunch)

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will work in a consultative sales environment with three main job functions:

  • Supporting the outside salesforce and field service technicians in quoting and fulfilling orders, along with maintaining CRM data.
  • Responding to inbound customer inquiries that come through phone, email, and e-commerce sites.
  • Developing and implementing an outbound sales plan with a focus on assigned accounts and new business.

Because of the diverse day-to-day activities of this role, EMC is seeking someone who already has experience with electrical equipment (motors, VFDs, generators, etc.) or similar products. This job is not a call center type of environment. This position will include a base pay, no commissions.

Skills/Abilities Required

  • Prior experience with industrial electrical and automation strongly preferred. Proficiency in typing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), and general computer functions/equipment. Previous experience with CRM software preferred (Sharp Spring, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)

Directly Reports To: Service Center Manager

Essential Duties: Carries out a variety of intermediate precision machine tool operation, metal cutting, and grinding work.

Summary: Operates a range of machinery such as lathes, milling machines, drills, etc. and performs a variety of mid-level welding work.

Salary Range: $23 to $30 per hour DOE

Responsibilities: The following list contains key responsibilities; additional work may be assigned by your manager.

  • Follows relevant work instructions and customer standards.
  • Operates repair/testing equipment.
  • Performs lathe operation (turning, boring, threading).
  • Performs milling operation (e.g. drilling, tapping, boring, etc.).
  • Performs basic metallizing techniques (e.g. metal spraying).
  • Performs tool-post grinding operations and broaching procedures.
  • Brazes, solders, and welds.
  • Runs band saws, belt sanders, and cuts/under cuts commutators.
  • Accurately records time on jobs and documents and applies critical information.
  • Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operates Fork Trucks (certified); Quality System/Safety Policy trained.
  • Observes all safety procedures and uses proper protective gear.
  • Lifts, tightens, adjusts and/or secures heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Assures that all completed work meets Energy Management Corporations Quality System requirements.

Qualifications: Preferred level of education: Associates in Applied Science Degree in Machine Tool Technology (or equivalent), plus a year of machining experience. Or a high school diploma and two years of experience in several phases of relevant machine tool technology. Other key skills include:

  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to foster good employee/employer relations.
  • Intermediate mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
  • Intermediate welding, brazing, and soldering skills.
  • Understands the properties of metals and the different affects tools have on them.
  • Can operate dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and adequately carry out a range of physical labor.

Applicants must be able to fulfill the physical duties of the job, which include being able to reach with hands and arms. Applicants must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

The Generator Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance, and performing start-ups on generator equipment including automatic transfer switches in our customer’s facilities. Salary Range: $24 to $38 per hour DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Service, repair, modify, diagnosis and rebuild standby power generators. • Perform preventive maintenance on natural gas and/or diesel generators. • Preform failure analysis, emergency field service for customers. • Perform start-ups on new equipment. • Process required paperwork in a timely manner. • Responsible for communicating repairs needed to both the customer and service manager. • Operate, drive and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck. • Furnish current required tools. • Willing to participate in the rotating responsibility of afterhours on-call-technician. Minimum Qualifications: • Must possess a valid driver license • Willing to travel sometimes overnight or over a weekend • Basic understanding of company provided computer, tablet, cell phone • Good organizational skills • Able to work well unsupervised • Attention to detail • Excellent customer relation skills • Self-motivated • Good mechanical/electrical aptitude • Able to comprehend and trouble shoot from wiring schematics • Knowledge on the basic workings of both diesel and gas engines • Willingness to train in the company programs to enhance his or her generator knowledge • Trade school education in stand by power systems and/ or relative experience. • Experience working with power generator equipment for a minimum of one year Preferred Qualifications • EGSA and/or CDL certified • Strong welding experience Applicants must be able to fulfill the physical duties of the job, which include being able to stand or walk for long periods of time, occasionally sit, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel, use wrists and hands for using tools, and looking down at the product being built. Energy Management Corporation (EMC) has an opening for an Electrical Power Generation Account Manager / Sales Specialist in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can be a problem solver and be a self-motivated member of the team.

Salary $65,000 to $80,000 Annually DOE

Responsibilities (Generac Industrial Account Management and Sales):

  • Generator take-offs including the interpretation of specifications and quotes.
  • Pot sale project management including submittal creation and approval, order entry/preparation, start-up coordination.
  • Schedule LNL’s and webinars with end users, contractors, and engineering firms.
  • Provide transfer switch recommendations and quotations with associated projects.

Job Requirements and Necessary Skills:

  • Work well under little supervision.

Energy Management Corporation has an opening for an Industrial Electrician. We are looking for an innovative, extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, and hardworking individual to join the team.

Salary Range: $27 - $38 Per Hour DOE

Duties and skills expected of the Industrial Electrician include but are not limited to:

  • Basic knowledge motors controls and VFDs.
  • Master licensee desired, journeyman licensee ok
  • Knowledge of NEC rules and requirements
  • Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems
  • Applicants will have strong electrical or electronic background, able to read schematics, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and computer literate.
  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Answer technical questions and provide high level of support for the sales department.
  • Provide quotations for customers on the repair job.
  • Interact with customers over phone to provide answers to technical questions.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized.
  • Installs new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Comfortable working on 120, 240 and 480 volt power systems, medium voltage experience a plus.
  • PLC knowledge is a plus.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.
  • Electric motor theory, vibration analysis, laser alignment is a plus
  • Pulling and reinstalling motors, pumps, fans a plus.

Must have own basic hand tools. Must be willing to travel locally with occasional overnight trips. Must be able to speak, write, and communicate clearly in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
